Mit dem vorliegenden Werkvertrag wurden Unternehmen mit Corporate Social Responsibility-Zielen und Nicht-Regierungs-Organisationen angesprochen, um die Relevanz von Weltraumlösungen im Bereich der humanitären Hilfe und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit zu fördern und Empfehlungen für die verstärkte Nutzung von Weltraumlösungen in diesen Bereichen formuliert. Seit der Mars Rover Perseverance am 19. Februar 2021 das erste Bild auf die Erde sandte, wird eine enorme Menge an (Bild)Daten generiert. Diese gilt es von den Forschenden zu einem großen Ganzen zusammen­zuführen, zu interpretieren und zu visualisieren. Kürzlich erschien eine aus Österreich angeführte Publikation dazu. Die interaktive 3D-Rekonstruktion ermöglicht Planeten­wissenschafter:innen eine realitätsnahe Erkundung und Analyse, die einen wesentlichen Beitrag zum Verständnis des Mars-Klimas liefern. G.
