TMIS.plus.II - Maintenance and Extension of the Topographic Mars Information System (TMIS) and Processing and Analysis of Terrain Information from Mars Derived from HRSC Imagery
TMIS has recently been re-implemented and contains data covering some three quarters of the planet's surface. Besides maintaining the data catalogue, I.P.F. also uses the Mars DTM data for research activities in DTM analysis. In the course of the current project the focus is on areomorphologic analysis, in particular on generating highly informative visualisations.
TelcoPTS - Generic Telecom Payload Test System
TripleM - Development of Methods for the Retrieval of Hydrology and Agricultural Parameters from Multi-temporal, Multi-sensoral and Multi-resolution Satellite Remote Sensing Data
Within this project multi-seasonal, multi-sensor and multi-resolution (TripleM) image data sets are investigated with respect to their operational and scientific utilization for agricultural and hydrological applications.
VEX-MAG - Venus Express Magnetometer
Venus Express (VEX) is the first mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) to Venus. It aims at a global investigation of the Venusian atmosphere and plasma environment and addresses several important aspects of the geology and surface physics. Its payload comprises seven scientific instruments with heritage from Mars Express and Rosetta. VEX-MAG is a space qualified magnetometer with two sensors to measure the magnetic field magnitude and direction.
VSAT - VSAT Monitoring System
The physical RF link of VSAT stations, especially the quality of the MF-TDMA return link, is crucial for ensuring high quality satellite communication. An accurate aligned antenna minimizes interference and secures the best physical way of maximizing the Bit/Hz/Year ratio. The SIECAMS VSAT monitoring system allows terminal per terminal measurement of RF quality parameters dedicated to MF-TDMA traffic transmitted from VSAT satellite networks without service interruption.
compact-PTR-TOF-MS - Development of a Compact Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer for Suborbital Research on the Earth's Atmospheric Composition
eGame - Feasibility Study Project eGame
The current feasibility study can be seen as the first phase of a three phase interdisciplinary project called "Development of an integrated telemetry system for game management in matters of traffic security, protection forest and private forest based on navigation, communication, remote sensing, and GIS methods".
e_SPIDER - Conceptualization of a Global Virtual Academy for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response
e_SPIDER directly supports the initialization of an e-learning environment for UN-SPIDER by providing a conceptual frame-work for a Global Virtual Academy for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response. It contributes to the development of an appropriate curriculum in collaboration with the Regional Centres for Space Science and Technology Education, affiliated to the United Nations, and other national and regional centres of excellence to train end-users and strengthen national institutions.
go.forest/mobile - Independent mobile SatNav device as supplement for a web-based Forestry Management- and Information System
The main idea of go.forest is to create a web-GIS-platform which enables horizontal and vertical cooperation and implementation of complex workflows in a user friendly way.
go.hiking - Web-based Service Platform for Monitoring and Maintenance of Alpine Hiking Infrastructure, Search&Rescue Spatial Knowledge Base and Info-Desk for Hikers
SatNav devices have been available for mountaineers for a long time. If someone plans a hiking tour, they will look for web-maps showing the region of interest, they want to investigate, the actual state of trails or paths, degree of difficulty, height differences, duration, public transport information, local weather forecast, etc. The most critical content within this list is the state of paths; the rest is somehow linked to commercials. go.hiking will concentrate on the state of paths, on hiking infrastructure.
