Dr. Christian Hoffman founded GeoVille in 1998. What startet as a small company in Innsbruck has now grown into a big player on the international market, with over 450 implementations in over 135 countries.
GeoVille is dedicated to providing a wide range of value-added services for Earth observation data and GIS applications.
In 2014, GeoVille won the Company Award of the Year of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC).

A founding member of the Earth Observation Data Centre (EODC), GeoVille has always looked for solutions in the area of land monitoring. With a staff of over 60, consisting of experts in with an educational background in natural sciences such as geography, spatial planning, agriculture, forestry, biology and oceanography, or in technical sciences including physics, mathematics, statistics and informatics, it sure covers all the grounds necessary to be able to find solutions and new ideas.

Dr. Christian Hoffmann himself is holding a degree in Cartography from the University of Vienna. He has over 25 years of experience in Earth observation and GIS applications working for the United Nations, the European Commission and Intergraph. His company GeoVille is number one SME in Europe for Land Monitoring with a very active role in the European Commission's Copernicus programme.
