Stars and exoplanets from space: stellar magnetic activity and its influence on the habitability of exoplanets
Short Description
We plan to study crucial properties of (planet hosting) stars and their influence on the habitability of exoplanets. Our main aim is to prepare for the ESA missions CHEOPS and PLATO, to which Austria significantly contributes as a consortium partner. Our project is based on archival data from the ESA missions CoRoT (CNES-led), XMM-Newton and the FFG funded mission BRITE-C, plus complementary ground-based observations.
