Aerospace & Advanced Composites GmbH (AAC) is an Austrian private company providing research, development, engineering, consulting and testing services in materials technology and component qualification. AAC supports customers in the space, aerospace, aviation, energy and industrial sectors with a strong focus on aerospace materials testing, component testing, material development and application-oriented technology development.

Founded in 2010 as a spin-off from AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, AAC builds on decades of space-related testing heritage dating back to 1989.

AAC develops, analyses, tests and qualifies materials, coatings, components and test methods for demanding technical applications. Core competences include

AAC operates specialised laboratory and test infrastructure for space-related and other high-performance applications. Available capabilities include thermal vacuum chambers, outgassing and sublimation testing, vacuum tribometers, cold welding and component test rigs, CME testing, cryogenic and high-temperature mechanical testing, microstructural analysis with HR-SEM, FIB and EBSD, non-destructive testing and facilities for composites processing and material functionalisation.
