Kepler Observatory Linz

The astronomical association "Kepler Observatory Linz" was founded in 1947 by a group of astronomy enthusiasts from Linz under the name "Linz Astronomical Community" and had the goal of building an observatory. The observatory was built in 1983 with association funds and has been available to Linz residents since then as an astronomical educational institution. As a member of the OÖVolksbildungswerk, it is the concern of the association to disseminate astronomical knowledge in as wide a population as possible. The day-to-day operations are carried out entirely by club members in their free time.
